TTo be accepted, a title’s ISBN must match one that is displayed on the website. Matching a title is
not enough, since some items share a title across different editions, each with a different ISBN.
Books with multiple volume editions (Vol-I, Vol-II, etc.) may sometimes be eligible as single titles,
but often require the entire set to qualify.

* Note: The ISBN is a 10- or 13-digit number attached to a barcode used to uniquely identify
books, including details such as edition and volume, and is typically printed on the back cover.

(1) FIRST IMPRESSION: Unread
(2) COVER/SPINE: No discoloration, no tears, no scuff marks, no damage to the corners of the
book itself or on hardback dustcovers
(3) PAGES/TOP, BOTTOM AND OUTER EDGES: No discoloration, no tears, no stains, no folds, no
writing, no underlining, no signs of wear
2. Very Good
(1) FIRST IMPRESSION: Looks new
(2) COVER/SPINE: No discoloration, no tears, minimal scuff marks, no damage to the corners of
the book itself or on hardback dustcovers
(3) PAGES/TOP, BOTTOM AND OUTER EDGES: No discoloration, no tears, no stains, no folds, no
writing, no underlining, some signs of having been read
3. Good
(1) FIRST IMPRESSION: Has been read
(2) COVER/SPINE: slight discoloration, limited signs of wear, no tears, minimal scuff marks,
no damage to the corners, hardback dustcover missing
(3) PAGES/TOP, BOTTOM AND OUTER EDGES: Slight discoloration, no tears. no stains,
folds on no more than 5 pages, writing and underlining on no more than 5 pages, some signs of wear

4. Acceptable
(1) FIRST IMPRESSION: Readable or any ex-library book
(2) COVER/SPINE: Badly discolored, worn, minimal scuff marks, corners damaged ½ inch or less, hardback dustcover missing
(3) PAGES/TOP, BOTTOM AND OUTER EDGES: Discolored, no tears, notes and underlining on
no more than 10 pages, folds and stains on no more than 10 pages, worn

5. Unacceptable
(1) FIRST IMPRESSION: Not Good
(2) COVER/SPINE: Missing covers, corners damaged over ½ inch, water damaged
(3) PAGES/TOP, BOTTOM AND OUTER EDGES: Some discoloration, any tears, any stains, water damaged, folds on no more than 10 pages, writing, underlining, and highlighting on no more than 10 pages, more signs of wear
(4) Any Ex-library(INCLUDING items withdrawn/discarded/sold from library or public institution) BCE(book club edition)
(5) Advanced Copy, Uncorrected Proofs, Scan POD titles, or items marked "Not for Resale/Not to be Resold"
(6) With Open/Scratched Access Code (damaged/revealed/not sealed) OR without any Original Supplements that came with the books.

In general, the book you wish to sell must be in at least Good condition and the ISBN must match one that is displayed on the website exactly. Most of all, you need to determine the condition of each book reviewing our "Buyback Condition Guidelines."

We will not buy Advanced Reader Copies, Uncorrected Proofs, Print-on-Demand titles, items marked "Not for Resale," or Book Club Editions. We will not buy Ex-Library books. Most of all, determine the condition of each book, reviewing our "Condition Guidelines".

If you send a book that we do not purchase, the book will not be returned to you and will be recycled. Some examples of books that we do not purchase are water-damaged books, books with broken bindings (e.g., pages loose, missing, or falling out), defective books, and books with torn/taped covers, or study guides/workbooks with any highlighting or writing.
