BookMonster and its affiliates, related companies, and agents (collectively "BookMonster" or "we"), are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of all data on the BookMonster.com website (the "Web Site"). To demonstrate this commitment, BookMonster has adopted this privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") based on the principles of notice/awareness, choice/consent, access/participation and integrity/security in the collection and use of all information regarding our users and their activities on the Web Site. By accessing the Web Site you are indicating your agreement to this Privacy Policy. It is your obligation to review this Privacy Policy each time you use the Web Site as it is subject to change at any time by BookMonster without notice. However, if we make any material change to this Privacy Policy, we will update the Web Site and revise the “last updated” date at the top of this statement/page. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon posting to the Web Site.

I. Notice of Our Policy

This Privacy Policy tells you, among other things, what information we gather from you, how we may use or disclose that information and our efforts to protect it. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully, and feel free to contact our Help Desk at help@BookMonster.com if you have any questions regarding its contents.

II. What Types of Information Are Collected and Why

a. Information Submitted by You
We may ask you to provide information about yourself in order to best serve you. For example, some of the information collected may include names, titles, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and PayPal account numbers, user name/ID numbers and passwords. We do not require this information to obtain access to any area of the Web Site. However, you are required to create a new account or login as a registered user prior to ordering any products on the Web Site.

b. Information Collected by Cookies
We may also make use of website "cookies" to help you use our services more easily and to help us continuously improve the Web Site and our service to you. A "cookie" is a small data file that a website can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your hard drive to help the Web Site "remember" information about you when you return to the Web Site, such as your preferences for the Web Site or account identifications. Our cookies do not read data off of your hard drive, read cookie files created by other websites, or track any personal information about you. You may have the option of setting your browser to reject cookies, however, doing so may negatively impact upon the performance of the Web Site or restrict us in serving your needs and interests. The "help" portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether.

c. Do Not Track Notice
We do not track our users over time and across third party websites, nor allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information on the Web Site. As such, our service does not respond to browser’ Do Not Track” requests.

III. How Does BookMonster Use My Information?

a. User Identification
We will retain your information on a secure server so that on re-visiting the Web Site, you will not need to re-enter that information. BookMonster may use this information in an aggregated form to measure number of visits, average time spent on the Web Site, pages viewed, and other relevant statistics. BookMonster collects this information to measure the use of the Web Site and to improve the content of the Web Site.

We use your personally identifying information to identify you as a user of the Web Site and to assist and speed the completion of transactions on the Web Site. We may use your email address to contact you directly regarding services or products that we believe may be of interest to you. We may also use information collected about your preferences and activities at the Web Site, such as the particular pages you request on the Web Site, and purchases or other transactions you effect through the Web Site, so that we may vary the content you receive in future visits to the Web Site based on your preferences and activities.

b. Disclosure of Aggregate Information
We may combine your personally identifying information and information about your preferences and activities with those of all or a particular group of our users to prepare collective profiles of our users and their activities for our internal use. For example, we may track the number of our users who view certain pages or use certain features or compile the total dollar amount of sales conducted through the Web Site in a particular geographic region or to track purchasing trends. Such information, and other information we derive from individual users' information, allows us to continue to grow and provide you with quality information through more accurate marketing and advertising of the Web Site. We may share aggregated information concerning our users, without attribution of personal information, with other companies with whom we conduct business.

c. No Disclosure of Personal Information to Outside Parties
We do not disclose your personal information that you provide or that we collect, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, account numbers, etc. to any persons outside of our company, affiliates, related companies, and agents. We will not lease, license, sublicense, rent, transfer, disclose, disseminate, or otherwise grant access to the information we collect from you through the Web Site to any persons outside of BookMonster for direct marketing purposes, unless you first affirmatively agree to that disclosure. We will, however, comply with any court order or other requirement of law which requires us to disclose your personal information.

d. How Can I "Opt out" of Receiving E-mail Communication?
We permit you to opt out of receiving certain communications from the Web Site. If you do not wish to receive unsolicited email messages from us, please access the "My Account" section of the Web Site and adjust your mailing preferences from the "yes" to the "no" option. We will not send unsolicited messages to you if you have indicated you do not wish to receive them. However, if you do not want your personal information used as otherwise detailed in this Privacy Policy, then you must not use the Web Site.

In addition, we use industry-standard technology, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology, in the transmission of certain sensitive personal information, designed to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your personal information. As technology develops, we intend to take additional measures to improve security.

The Web Site may contain "links" to other websites, and we cannot be and are not responsible for maintaining your privacy once you leave the Web Site. We attempt to link only to websites that share our high standards and respect for privacy. Under no circumstances shall BookMonster have any liability whatsoever for the activities conducted by or at any website accessed from or through the Web Site.

Regardless of the precautions taken by us, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you transmit such information at your own risk.

Jurisdiction for any claims arising under or out of this Privacy Policy shall lie exclusively with the state and federal courts within the State of California. If any provision of this Privacy Policy is found to be invalid by a court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Privacy Policy, which shall remain in full force and effect. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BOOKMONSTER HAVE ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE BREACH OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, HOWEVER OCCASIONED.
